At Brynderwen Barn, we pride ourselves on providing a unique and tranquil holiday rental experience. Nestled in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park our barn conversion offers a perfect escape for families and couples alike, and even for your four legged friends (which you pay a bit more for).
Please be aware we are in Talyllyn near Brecon. NOT Talyllyn in North Wales!!
If using a Sat Nav our post code LD3 7SY will bring you to our front gate.
The nearest railway station is Abergavenny. There is a bus service from Abergavenny to Brecon, and a taxi may be hired from Brecon to Brynderwen.
Please check the availability of these services before travelling. Travel by public transport may be inconvenient and it is recommended that a private car is used to get around.
Brynderwen Barn is situated on the edge of the hamlet of Talyllyn near Brecon, and not far from Llangorse Lake, within the Brecon Beacons National Park.
We are especially well located for wedding guests attending celebrations at the following venues:
There are some excellent places to eat and drink in the local area and a variety of outdoor activities, walks, and places of interest. Annual events such as the Royal Welsh Show, Hay Literature Festival, and Brecon County Show are well worth a visit.
The Brecon Beacons National Park offers the best of the Great British Countryside. There are numerous hill walks and footpaths to be enjoyed and many good pubs and restaurants to relax in after a hard day on the hill.
Hay on Wye (the town of books) is a good wet weather option with many interesting shops and places to eat. Hay is on the Offa’s Dyke footpath and next to the Black Mountains. Market day is Thursday.
Brecon offers a range of facilities and has the regimental museum of The Royal Welsh Regiment. Market day is Tuesday and Friday.
If you wish to hire bikes or canoes or go pony trekking (short or long trek) call Alison for up to date information.
Brynderwen does not have the facility to charge electric vehicles.
Those guests arriving by bicycle may store bicycles in the locked shed overnight (at their own risk) and we can provide a covered area for the motorbikers amongst us.
A four double bed, four bathroom converted barn, with large communal kitchen/ reception room. All rooms are en suite with towels and soaps provided.
There is free WiFi and plenty of free off road parking at the property.
A patio area is available in the garden for guests to sit out in, and a fabulous lounge and dining area with TV is inside.
Note the Barn is attached to our home, there will be children, horses and dogs all around and we ask that you respect our home and space.
Let us help you get ready for your getaway!
